Where to Eat Near North Conway & Bridgton

The short list we hand every guest, thirty minutes in either direction from the house.

You're close enough to two very different town centers that "where should we eat tonight" has real options. Here's where we actually send people, not just what ranks first in a search.

Breakfast: Peaches

In North Conway, Peaches is our standing breakfast recommendation. It's the kind of unfussy, generous breakfast spot worth building a slow morning around before a hike or a ski day — get there before the village fills up on weekends.

Dinner: Salt & Barley

For dinner, Salt & Barley is our go-to. A solid gastropub feel with a real beer list, good for a group after a day outside or a quieter dinner for two.

The rest of North Conway

Beyond those two, North Conway has real range: outlet shopping if you need it, a handful of breweries worth an afternoon, cafés for a slower pace, and a full grocery store if you're stocking the kitchen for a longer stay rather than eating out every meal.

Bridgton

Bridgton, in the other direction toward the lakes region, has a smaller, more small-town feel — a good stop if you're heading that way for Shawnee Peak or spending a day around the lakes and want a low-key lunch in between.

Don't skip the Stow Corner Store

Right at the bottom of the hill from the house, this is the kind of general store that sells exactly what you forgot to pack. Worth the two-minute stop even if it's just for ice or a forgotten phone charger.

If you're cooking in

The kitchen looks out over the hills through floor-to-ceiling windows, and it's fully stocked for real cooking — not just reheating. Our well runs 500 feet deep and the water is clean straight from the tap, so there's no need to haul in bottled water for the stay.
